Walking for Faith Ewald Once again, my family and I will be participating in the Memory Walk to fund Alzheimer's research on Sunday, September 16, 2007 in Chicago on behalf of our mother and your former LLL leader, Faith Ewald. We would love to have you come walk with us.

As you all know, this is something that is very important to my family. Any help that you can give is appreciated. If you are unable to give a donation at this time, simply keep us in your prayers. Every bit helps.

This year we have a website where donations can be made online at http://ChicagoMemoryWalk.kintera.org/2007/walkingforfaith. (You can also make them the by sending a check through the mail to the Alzheimers Association of Greater Illinois. If you specify on the check memo, "For research only", the donation will not be used for administrative costs.) Please pass this along to anyone else that you feel would be interested in joining us or helping the cause. Thank you, Ann Ewald Littleson

Creating Harmony: Raising Musical Children. My daughter, Sharon Diane Olsher, and I presented at the recent LLL Eastern PA Conference. We were thrilled to see in the most recent Continuum how serendipitously LLL founders and families are talking about the power of music in our lives. Yes, it creates harmony in so many ways! Our presentations and forthcoming publications point out the values of family togetherness and the power of music to affirm bonding and to teach across the growing up years. Sharon became a professional musician; we shared a long family pleasure of "growing up musical." She has some important insights about raising musical children. My own work, The Two Cookie Rule: A Framework for Intentional Parenting looks at ways to identify and connect our parenting intentions to music, education, self-esteen, money, resiliency, and all the other aspects of parenting a child from birth to self-sufficient adulthood by creating intentional living environments. We'd love to hear from all of you that share our passion.
Karen Connell, LCSW, MSW, MA, Pennsylvania USA [January, 2006]

Looking for LLL Leader. I am looking for a Leader, first name Mona (apologies--I cannot remember her last name), who was a Leader in the North Platte, Nebraska area in the early 1980s. She introduced the "candle lighting ceremony" for new Leaders to Nebraska from her Leader experience in California. Mona had two daughters. I would love to reconnect! bcarolewr@cs.com, Nebraska [August 24, 2005]

Get the Billy Dean "Let Them Be Little" CD. CheckMany of you who attended the Founders' Tea at the LLLI Conference have asked about the Billy Dean "Let Them Be Little" video that was shown. It's online at:
http://countrymusic.about.com/library/blbd-letthembelittle.htm
For those who expressed an interest in ordering a CD, here's the site for that:
http://billydean.com/ There's a place you can click to order the CD from them. If you do order a CD, I'd appreciate your emailing me at jjendron@usit.net, so we can "track" the impact of showing the video at the LLLI Conference. We were very lucky to get this DVD and we want to show our appreciation. [August 24, 2005]

Looking for a LLL Leader. I am an active LLL Leader and am trying to track down another Leader in my situation. I have recently been accepted to medical school, matriculating this fall. I heard of another leader who followed that same path--med school after her kids were school age--and would love to be able to reach her for suggestions and advice. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! Karen Seroussi, Florida USA [April 11, 2005]
