Margaret Hall Gerharz (Pioneer) ~ I don't remember the exact date or place of the first LLL Group meeting in the Springfield MA area, but I do remember those wonderful women who have been soul mates throughout the years—especially Doris Preston, Jan Kozub, Marieke Burt, and Sally Comeau. LLL has had a profound influence on my mothering and grandmothering and on my life as a woman. Thank you!

Mary Jeanne Hickey (Pioneer) ~ The earliest Groups were in western Massachusetts. In 1964, independently and nearly simultaneously, Groups sprang up in the greater Boston area.
